Tommy Mitchell Incentive Awards

The Tommy Mitchell Incentive Award is a one year grant given to local students to help further their education.  Various guidelines are used to help us choose recipients who we feel are of great character, are all around persons, and will be successful representatives of the Broome Sports Foundation.  Our Tommy Mitchell Incentive Awards are presented to recipients in a special ceremony held during a Binghamton Senators hockey game or a Binghamton Mets baseball game.

"Giving Kids and Edge"

Our "Giving Kids an Edge" program is specifically designed for at risk youth.  The program teams each child with representatives from local law enforcement agencies, spending time together at a local sporting events.  These law enforcement representatives are then available to these youths to create a positive influence in their lives.

Sponsorship

Support for our local hockey organizations, by sponsoring teams and providing hockey scholarships to children in need so they can play ice hockey.

Special Olympics

Providing promotion and support to the Special Olympics.

Hunger Outreach

Purchase and distribution of hundreds of turkeys to local families in need of support for their Thanksgiving feast.
